Timnah The Timnah Valley in southern Negev, 25 km north of the Red Sea, is rich in copper ore, and has attracted copper miners since the 5th millennium BC. The most thriving era of mining industry in Timnah was between the 14th and 12th centuries BC, under the control of Egyptian pharaohs. Mining activities continued until the Middle Ages in this valley. Nowadays visitors are attracted to the site mainly because of its beautiful landscapes. More information:
